How to Get Started with OKEx: Everything You Need to Make the Most of It

Registering an Account
If you want to get started with OKEx the first thing you need to do is visit their website. You can do that at https://www.OKEx.com/. Once you’re there, you’ll see the option to sign up right at the top of the page. Of course, if you’d rather you can take a look at some of their other information and offerings before you decide to sign up.
On the home page you’ll find information about promotions, what’s happening in the market and what kind of things you’re going to get with OKEx. You’ll also see some of the benefits and more. That way you can make sure that this is really the service that you want to get. And then, once you’re ready to sign up, you’ll have plenty of options to do it.
Signing up starts with creating an account, which requires an email address and a password. You can set any password that you want but make sure that it’s going to be secure. You don’t want anyone else to be able to get access to your account. Then, make sure you send your information to the right email address.
You’ll select to get a code once you’ve put in this information and you’ll need to go to your email in order to get it. There will be a six-digit code sent to your email and you’ll need that to verify that you’re creating an account. Don’t do this too early, however as you only get 60 seconds to put the code in and verify.
Set Your Preferences
Now you’ll have the option to let the system know if you are a new user or an experienced one. Take Funds From Your Account
What if you want to remove funds? Well, that’s an easy process too. Buy or Sell Funds With Your Account
If you’re ready to buy funds you can easily navigate to the ‘buy/sell’ section from the main menu. You’ll see all of the different currencies that are supported both for purchase and for selling. That way you can choose the currency that you want to use. And you can use several different types of payment methods to get there.
Choose what you want to buy or what you want to sell and how you’re going to do it. You’ll need to put the account information in if you want to buy with a different payment method or to set up something on file. Make sure you have a method that works with the OKEx system.
Fiat Gateway
Within the buying process of OKEx, we also need to take a closer look at the fiat gateway. This is actually a great option for those who are just getting started with cryptocurrency and don’t have any of their own yet. You can still jump right in with OKEx. You just need to have one of the 30 fiat currencies that are approved for use with OKEx. And those currencies can come in a number of different forms, including Apple Pay, your favorite credit card and a whole lot more.
Once you set up your fiat payment method you’ll be able to buy your first cryptocurrency and get started with buying, selling and trading in no time. And you can do all of it straight through OKEx. You don’t need to have a separate wallet first or go through a different system to get there.
Trading With Your New OKEX Account
Are you ready to start the trading process? It doesn’t have to be as difficult as you might think. You just need to walk through a few simple steps that will get easier every time that you do them. We’re going to take a look at trading cryptocurrency through the Spot Trading market.
You need to make sure that you have cryptocurrency in your account and then you can transfer it to what’s called the ‘spot account.’ You need to do this by selecting ‘assets’ and then ‘transfer.’ You’ll be able to choose the coin or token that you want to transfer but you can also see all the information you need like the available balance, so you transfer the right amount.
Next, you go into the Spot Trading market through the ‘trade’ menu. You can choose basic or advanced options when you’re ready to get started. You’ll get all of the information that you need to make a decision either way. Then you can look at different market pairs to see which one you are interested in. Evaluate the information about the market and you can choose where you want to start your trade.
Once you’ve decided on a trade you want to make you can select the trade and enter the amount of currency that you’re going to put up into the ‘amount’ field next to the pricing info. You will already have selections in place for ‘limit’ on the order type (which ensures your trade is made only for the amount you see at that time or something better.
You’ll see the price for the other currency that you’re getting and you can even check out the order book to see what’s happening in the market at that time. You can select your desired price and then how much you want to buy for that price. Finally, you can submit your order and buy the new currency. If you have enough in your account the trade will be submitted.
Your trade will sit open until it’s filled or until you choose to cancel it. So, you can wait and see what happens or log out and come back later. You can do this through your ‘open orders’ or ‘order history. You’ll be able to see where the coins and tokens are if your trade does complete in your Spot Account. Then you can choose to transfer it to another account or withdraw it.
